What is Thai massage?
Perhaps the most unique form of massage. It is a traditional healing system with Taiwanese origins which combines acupressure, Indian Ayurvedic principles, and assisted yoga postures.
What is a Shiatsu massage?
Most know this as “the Mall Massage”- you’ve seen the products on tv and at the stores which is an attempt to mimic this popular massage style. Origins traced to Japan,
which uses kneading, pressing, soothing, tapping, and stretching techniques and is performed without oils through light, comfortable clothing.
Hot Stone Massage– exactly what it sounds like. Warm stones are placed on the client. The direct heat of the stones relaxes muscles, allowing the therapist access to their deeper muscle layers. Often used in combination with another form of massage.
What is Reflexology and does it work?
Reflexology is a form of bodywork that involves applying pressure to the hands and feet to produce changes in pain and other benefits elsewhere in the body. See picture below to see what areas of the foot are said to be linked to which organ.
